Use Cases
The project will focus specifically on the definition and proof-of-concept implementation of a reference architecture and platforms for low-power mixed-criticality systems on a chip in the avionics and railway domain. For each domain, a dedicated use case and a supply chain consisting of end-user (OEM), application software experts, tool vendors and universities/research centre will be established. Each supply chain jointly works on a demonstrator to evaluate, provide feedback to the reference architecture developers and fosters proposals for standards, best practices, and industrial exploitation of the project results.
As part of its dissemination efforts (linked to the technical work developed in the project), SAFEPOWER will also promote and carry out a cross-domain public demonstrator, being the purpose or this task to provide an open and public available demonstrator platform that can be used to implement demonstrators from different industrial domains. While the other two industrial use-cases will tailor the SAFEPOWER reference architecture to their domain specific needs, this demonstrator will make all feature of the SAFEPOWER reference architecture available.
